General: Security Patrol part time Weekends and or fill in for Full time security M-F 4pm to 7/8pm Saturdays 12:30 to 7/8 Sundays 8am to 7/8pm.
Lead funerals in to cemetery to current grave site M-F between the hours of 9 am and 4pm an average of 15 hours per week.
Specific:
1. Patrol grounds both cemeteries on east and west side.
2. Lock up mausoleums and set alarm codes.
3. Unlock mausoleums and turn off alarms on Sunday and major holidays.
4. Close gates on East side, west side closes automatically
5. Unlock gates on East side Sunday and major holidays.
6. Lead funerals to gravesite. Collect any paperwork from Funeral Director before casket or urn is removed from vehicle.
7. Indicate to funeral director which way to carry casket to grave. Example. Head first
8. Lead pallbearers and funeral director to grave site and assist with placing casket on casket lowering device.
9. Once casket has been placed gather people under the tent and then assist with gathering flags off funeral procession.
10. Stay at gravesite until all family and friends have left and proceed to notify crew to come and proceed with burial via 2 way walkie talkie.
11. Stay until vault or urn is lowered into the ground or placed in crypt or niche.
Skill Requirements
Proficiency in:
Quick judgement calls in case of an emergency.
Flexibility of availability of hours worked. Occasionally Sundays if your filling in would be a 12 hour shift. Otherwise it would be around 5 hours on Saturday and Sunday.
When escorting funerals proper attire must be worn.
Prior security experience preferred.
Perfect for retirees or someone looking for extra hours.
Average of 10 hours per week and when filling in for current security a potential of 40 hours per week.
Valid drivers license required.
Hourly pay: $15 per hour.
No benefits for this position.
